Can atmospheric water be harvested to encourage urban greening in dry and arid counties?
Tulip is a sculptural atmospheric water harvesting system which optimizes the natural process of condensation through shape, form and material. The conical condensing surfaces cool over night allowing for 0.75L of water to be collected per night. A 54L water collection tank makes water storage viable, without overpowering small urban spaces.
1/2 scale model constructed from 3D printed and CNC milled high density foam components. This model was unable to collect water due to the materials used. I would like to produce a working model constructed from the correct material to test the efficiency of the design as I believe this concept can collect more water than the studies I have based my calculations off due to the enhanced form.
