THE TRIAL is a First Person AFROFUTURISTIC parkour game with an emphasis on smooth & fluid movement throughout PROCEDURALLY GENERATED LEVELS, to create endless REPLAYABILITY.

THE TRIAL utilises CULTURALLY SENSITIVE ART AND DESIGN, inspired by the deep and rich culture of the Ashanti people to create a vibrant futuristic cityscape.

Our design pillars are:

FLUID MOVEMENT: A consistent dynamic movement based system that gives players a range of movement mechanics that are usable in quick succession to traverse levels.

REPLAYABILITY: Unique progressive playthroughs for each player by randomly generated tiles.

AFROFUTURISM: Enticing environment and narrative that portrays a flourishing Ashanti culture.

Our narrative focuses on an interpretation of futuristic Ashanti culture. Your goal as a player is to prove yourself worthy of joining the Anansi Corps, by demonstrating your speed & agility in a simulated training environment.
