Tegan Anderson

I want to explore the darkness and light in people, and create work that looks at that juxtaposition. As a self-portrait artist, I photograph myself and become the characters of dreams inspired by intense imagination and fear. By being the creator and the actor, I control the darkness and confront those fears.
My process is more about discovery than creation. I want to follow my curiosity into the unknown and see who my characters might become. I believe that the greatest gift an artist has is the ability to channel fears, hopes, and experiences into something beautiful.
