I am a 23-year-old, graduating Graphic Design student, hoping to go on to work within the areas of editorial work and publishing. The work on show here is a collection of 4 works from my final year. LACE Magazine, using the footwear we all wear as a vehicle to explore interesting conversations covering a variety of topics, not limited exclusively to the footwear industry. Pushing for the appreciation of footwear alongside valid critique. Frankenshoe, a platform, and service that aims to make the up-cycling of footwear more accessible than ever to combat the ever-growing sustainability issues within the footwear industry and rising consumerism. The Complete Marvel Comics Reading Order, a book collating the complete reading (not release) order of all released Marvel comics from 1939, covering an estimated 27,000+ comics, allowing newcomers to comics to find a jumping on point as well as giving a definitive reading order for mid-level comic readers as well as aficionados. And finally Sole, a project taking a look into the Falmouth high street and the diverse range of characters you come across and how we all walk the same streets, together.

LACE Magazine Video Showreel

At LACE, we use the footwear we all wear as a vehicle to explore interesting conversations covering a variety of topics, not limited exclusively to the footwear industry, but instead looking at how these cuts of fabric and rubber are intrinsically linked to what we do, how we do it and why we do it. Our articles range from insights into the footwear industry, to interviews with members of interesting subcultures, as well as showcasing up-and-coming designers and artists work. In a world where the fetishisation of footwear is increasing, we wish to offer an honest appraisal of the positives and negatives attached to this rise of popularity.

A publication using street photography of shoes and portraiture to communicate the personality and uniqueness within the Falmouth high street community. Sticking firmly to the philosophy that we all share these streets and we all share a community, no matter how different we are from one another.
