Izzy Eastick
A diverse collection of found objects, plants, animals, drawings, colours, materials, prints, text, and paintings; Izzy’s work is an amalgamation of the natural world. Her practice is an exploration into the entanglements that tie our surroundings and the organisms within it, a presentation of entwined connections and relationships that outwardly appear unrelated, an appreciation of the diversity present throughout the biosphere. Utilising paint, pencil, and printing mediums, Izzy creates semi-realistic and detailed depictions of natural forms. Bone and wood are recurring motifs, often used to explore the history capable of being archived within material, forging a liminal space between life/presence and death/absence to act as a record of the impressions left behind by something once living.
