My work focuses primarily on abstract expressionism and colour relationships. My paintings aim to portray a sense of movement and journey to form an overall sensation through application, mark making and forming an emotional connection to the process. I aim for my work to be eye catching and bold, holding its own unique identity. Inspired by the abstract expressionism movement and classic abstract techniques I aim to add my own personal twist on abstract art, working with various techniques to experiment with my pieces. My comfort zone is within painting as this allows a relationship between myself and the paint and how I allow it to move and exist on the canvas. I I want my viewers to view my work and remember it, feel moved by it but at the same time have the ability to create their own interpretations and ideas about my work.
