Walk down a typical public street and you will be faced a plethora of different people, all uniquely dressed and showing signs of a life of experience. Open a copy of a popular fashion magazine however, and you will see homogenous fashion models, styled to perfection or elaborately decorated to an almost otherworldly level.
VISION aims to highlight these repetitive ideals, displaying fashion images with a twist. The models are everyday volunteers, the fashion a combination of their own clothes & handmade accessories.
By wearing 3D glasses to view the images in a new dimension, the wearer is encouraged to reconsider the imagery around them. With underlying themes of nature and sustainability, I hope that the 3D experience challenges norms within the fashion and media contexts.
