Terēze Brence

When I first came to Falmouth, I thought I knew what my next three years will look like. More or less.. But I could not have been more wrong. And despite all the challenges, changes and worldwide obstacles, coming here was the greatest decision I have ever made.

I’m Terēze, and I aim to use my creative practice and curiosity as a force for good. Over the last three years, I’ve explored different design routes and worked on projects that focus on storytelling and bookbinding, branding and typography, packaging design, copywriting and lots more. Throughout this journey, I’ve started to grasp the importance and potential that graphic design has - I can now really see our role and power as creatives within this society.

I deeply value the knowledge, experiences, continuous inspiration and support I’ve gained during my time at Falmouth, and I’m so ready to glide into the industry to keep learning, innovating, collaborating and using design to encourage a more inclusive, sustainable and wholesome society.

A celebration of creativity - that’s how a dear friend has described their time here, and I could not word it any better. I aspire to keep this as my motto for my future creative practice as well, wherever it may take me and my sketchbooks of sporadic ideas and drawings, my hefty piles of paper and tiny bottles of sloshing ink in all the colours of the rainbow.
