Rebecca Henstock is a contemporary photographer based in Yorkshire. Her work mainly focuses on story telling through personal approaches and through current issues happening in the world.
This body of work ‘Overshadowed. Overlooked’ explores the psychological meaning behind our shadows. Our shadows are the part of us that we supress, the part of ourselves we do not want others to see. Our shadow is a part of our unconscious mind. Her conceptual imagery shows a clear representation of her unconscious, her anxieties, physically and emotionally.
In the future she hopes to carry on her practice and pursue a career in teaching photography.
