Market Square. Bringing to life the heart of Scilly. As well as housing facilities for the wildlife trust and the museum, the proposal will Give the Islanders a more permanent space to run the monthly market within. Dealing with issues of weather and having a permanent spot built into the design.
The Space will also give the museum the potential expansion in the future for new additions as history is always writing its self. The spaces should have a mixture of small and large to accommodate varying sizes of artefacts owned by the museum.
The proposal needs to strongly cater for the aging population and seek to engage other populations where possible. Entwining nature and wildlife into the proposal will make it economically viable and of interest to both tourists and residents. Despite the relatively low unemployment rate, there’s an opportunity to create jobs and train people with new skills within the proposal and the subsequent construction of it.
