Charcoal and Ash
Taken for the series 'Relinquish', this photo was taken on the beaches of Pendennis point, it features a central composition on a scorched piece of grass, the image contemplates youth and hope, juxtaposed with undertones of loneliness and hopelessness.
This image, inspired by the solitary themes of Edward Hopper, was also taken in the series 'Relinquish', and features a scene filled with silence. A dark, almost hopeless image evoking isolation, with the promise of hope embodied by the amber light peering its way through the window.
Fluttered Flesh and Bone
'Fluttered Flesh and Bone' is an image from the series 'The Beat of a Feather' and features the remains of a blackbird engulfed in the leaves of a forest it once inhabited. Although this melancholic scene is not a joyous one, it paints a picture of the cycle of life in this setting and poetically bookends this side of that cycle.
Tamed By Hazel and Pine
'Tamed by Hazel and Pine' shows the forest connected unlike any of the other images, with the scene showing a small thread of the tree leading up to the rest of the branches. The name itself is a poetic representation of inspiration found in the forest and draws the viewer in, encouraging them to explore these magical places for themselves.
