Charlotte O’Neill

I am Charlotte, a Marine and Natural History Photography student. I have always been fascinated by the natural world and all the wildlife around me. Telling stories about the natural environment is what I love doing the most. I am saddened by the destruction caused to the natural world by human actions and use filmmaking to educate my audience on what is happening but also what can be done.

For my final project, I created an animated film about plastic pollution and the flesh-footed shearwaters of Australia.

Plastic Island

On a tropical paradise island, a pair of flesh-footed shearwaters are raising their chick. Among palms and squid filled ocean, it seems the perfect place, but not all is idyllic as it seems and the parents may now have to raise their chick in dire circumstances.

This is a 2D animated film that I made for my Major Project module in my last semester.
